Example of COBie Workflow in a Construction Project

  1. Design Phase: During the design phase, COBie captures information about the spaces and systems that will be included in the project, such as room layouts, intended uses, and types of equipment that will be installed.
  2. Construction Phase: As construction progresses, COBie is updated with information about installed components (e.g., specific light fixtures, HVAC units, fire systems), including manufacturer details, locations, and serial numbers.
